The Phoenix is a satin polished stainless steel frame with a leaded glass door suspended between wing-like supports.  The wings have an internal skeleton of aluminum and are skinned with copper and capped at both ends with stainless steel.

Lighting extends the full length of a channel that runs down the centre of each wing. The light reflects off the satin polished surface of the copper to impart a firey glow to the interior of the cabinet.  The shelves are tempered glass and are adjustable. Symbols at each wing tip are backlit and identify the cabinet as Andromeda and Phoenix.

The Phoenix is highly detailed and displays objects in an unusual and compelling way as well as providing warm and dramatic lighting for the room.  The copper on the outside surfaces will oxidize slowly over the years, deepening the rich colours of the metal.
